This text is a plain description of what the software collects and where it goes.

who we are

Hooking is built and run by a small team. The address for anything on this page, including a deletion request, is the contact published on the official Hooking site.

there is no account

There is nothing to sign up for. We store no accounts, no usernames, no passwords, no email address unless you write to us. Connecting a wallet does not create an account with us; it lets the page read an address and lets your wallet sign.

A wallet address and everything it has ever done are public data on the chain, published by the chain and not by us. Anybody with a block explorer can read them. We cannot make chain data private and we cannot delete it.

what is actually collected

Chain data. The site reads the launches, trades, holders and the addresses in them straight from Robinhood Chain, in your browser, through a read-only route on this same host that passes the calls on to the chain's node, so it can show a board, a chart and a wallet's page. All of it was already public on the chain before we read it.

Chat messages. On the pages that have a token chat, what you post there is kept with the wallet address that signed in to post it, and shown to everyone who opens that chat.

Messages to us. If you write to us, we keep your message and the address you wrote from, so we can answer. That and the chat are the only places you hand us anything about yourself that the chain does not already show.

Server logs. The site's own routes for chain calls and for generated pictures count requests by the IP address they came from, in memory and for a minute or an hour, so they can rate limit and deal with abuse. Nothing on this site joins an IP address to a wallet or to a message.

Browser storage. Your browser keeps a few small things for this site. Three last for the tab you are in and are cleared when it closes: a note that you have seen the opening animation, the coin you just launched, so its page opens before the data behind it has caught up, and an admin token if you are an operator signing in to the admin screens. Five stay until you clear your browser's data for this site: the coin you are still putting together on the launch screen (until you launch it or start over), your quick trade amounts, the chart interval you picked, your sound setting, and the proof that you signed in to chat, so you do not sign again on every page. None of them is a cookie, and none reaches us as stored data.

Visit counts. A deployment can count visits and a few moments (a wallet connected, a launch landed, a trade went through) with its own copy of Umami, served from this same host. It sets no cookie and is never handed a wallet address; for a wallet it records only the wallet app's name. Where it is not set up, nothing is counted.

who it goes to

Nobody. There is no advertising on this site, no third party analytics tracker, no pixel, no third party session recorder and no data sale. We do not build a profile of you and we do not share what you send us with anyone except where the law forces us to. One exception you choose: when a deployment has picture drawing switched on and you ask the launch screen to draw your coin's picture, the words you give it go to OpenRouter, the service that draws it, and nothing else does.

how long a message is kept

A message to us is kept until somebody deletes it. Nothing removes it on a timer today, because a message is a conversation a person still has to answer.

having it deleted

Ask, and it is deleted. Write to the address in who we are from the address you wrote from, and say what to remove. We delete the contact and the message. What we cannot delete is anything on the chain, because we did not put it there and it is not ours to remove.

this page can change

If what the software collects changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top is the date of the last change.
