Flambé vault
Be the house in Flambé
Every Flambé flip is played against this vault's ETH. A flip sets aside as much as it stakes: a loss leaves the stake here, a win takes the vault's half so twice the stake buys the coin. A flip wins 48.5% of the time, so on average the vault keeps 3% of every stake, and half of its profit stays with its depositors.
What your ETH does
It is the house's side of every flip
A trader stakes x ETH and the vault sets x aside. Lose (51.5%) and the stake stays in the vault; win (48.5%) and the vault pays its x, and 2x buys the coin for the trader. A trader's stake is worth 0.97x on average, so over many flips the vault keeps about 3% of what is staked.
Caps fixed for good
One flip stakes at most 0.5% of the vault's free ETH. Stakes on one coin in one clock hour stay within 2% of the vault's ETH, and on all coins within 10%. They are constants in the vault: no owner, no setter, and no new game can raise them.
Profit, settled once a day
The vault's result is settled at most once a day, against a high-water mark: losses are made up before anything is paid. Of a profit, 50% stays in the vault and raises what every share is worth, 40% buys and burns $HOOKING, 10% goes to the team.
Withdrawing takes a day
Ask first. 24 hours later you can take your ETH, for the next 24 hours, from the ETH open flips have not set aside; after that the request lapses and you ask again. Your shares keep sharing every flip's result while you wait, and you can cancel the request any time.
You can lose. Depositors take the other side of every flip. The 3% edge is an average over many flips, not a promise: a run of wins is a real loss to every share. A late house costs the vault too, since a flip still unrevealed after 7 days is paid as a win. And the house knows its own seeds, so it could play its own game; the caps above bound what that can take, nothing more.
